1950s ~ TOURNUS UNIS France 1 1/2 Aluminum PUR Litre ~ French Vintage Hot Chocolate Pot "Chocolatière" with Wooden Side Handle ~ French Farmhouse Decorative ~ Made in France
This charming French Vintage Aluminum Silver "Chocolatière" with wooden side handle for easy pouring and may also be used on the stove top for coffee or tea pot. Based on my research on when these wear made and used, this dates back to the early 1900s.
Serving pot was made for hot coco, melt chocolate or boil hot water for coffee or tea but I would not recommend using it for this purpose as its not safe and there is a tiny hole that needs to be repaired. I would say the this should be used for display only as there is oxidation on the inside of the pot as shown in the photos. Great piece to display in your French Country or Farmhouse chic kitchen.
--- Measurements & Weight ---
Approximately 24 cm Height x 25 cm Longest Length x 12 cm bottom diameter & 385 grams not including the packaging weight.
--- Condition ---
In rustic distressed vintage condition and due to the age and usage there are imperfections such as heavy surface scratches/tiny dents/marks and faint surface oxidation (especially in the inside surface) and it is not water safe as there is a tiny hole in the bottom surface (it can be fixed with Opoxy to hold water) as shown in the photos. Please ask me if you are unsure and use ZOOM to review the detail of each photo.
